Booking

Discreet booking

Two steps, and the second one does not need the first. Answer six questions to find out where you stand, then send us a booking request that contains your contact details and a reference code — and no reason for coming.

Self-check

The anonymous self-check

Six questions about bladder, bowel, pressure, pain and recent surgery. There is no right answer and no score to be ashamed of — the point is to find out which of the things we treat is actually going on.

  • Your answers are processed in your browser and never sent anywhere. There is no request to our server while you answer, no analytics, no cookie.
  • The result is stored only on this device, only if you choose to keep it, and you can delete it with one button.
  • If you go on to book, the booking request carries a six-character reference code — not your answers, not your symptoms, not a category. Nobody at the practice sees the reason for your visit until you are sitting in a closed room and say it out loud.

This self-check is an orientation aid for booking, not a medical assessment, and it cannot diagnose or exclude anything. If you have blood in your urine or stool, fever, sudden severe pain or cannot pass urine, contact a doctor rather than a physiotherapist.

Booking request

Booking request

We answer every request within two working days, by the route you choose. This is a request for an appointment, not a contract, and nothing is binding until we have spoken.

A first name, a full name or a pseudonym you will recognise — all three work. We only need to know who to greet.

How should we reply?
When could you come?

Choose everything that could work — the more you tick, the sooner we will find something.

Optional. If you did the self-check, its code is filled in automatically. It tells us nothing about your symptoms.

Organisational only, please: a ramp, an interpreter, a therapist of a particular gender, a chaperone, no voicemail on this number. Do not write your symptoms here — this field is sent to the practice, and the whole point of the reference code is that your reason does not have to be.

Forms & preparation

Patient forms

Filling these in at home saves fifteen minutes of the first appointment and means you do not have to say any of it out loud in a corridor. Print them, or write the answers on any piece of paper and bring that — the form matters less than the information.

Or simply telephone

You do not have to say why you are calling. "I would like an appointment with Praxis Pelvia" is a complete sentence, and the person on the other end is a pelvic floor therapist who will not ask you anything else in an open room.

0211 4728190

The telephone is answered between 08:00 and 12:00. Outside those hours please use the booking form or leave a message — we do not have a separate reception team, so the person who calls you back is a therapist between two patients.

Video appointment

Follow-ups, diary reviews, exercise progression and the education part of a treatment can be done by video, through a certified German video consultation service in your browser. No app, no account, nothing recorded.

A first assessment cannot sensibly be done by video, and we will not pretend otherwise. Tick the video box in the form and we will tell you whether your case is suitable.

If it is urgent

We are a physiotherapy practice, not an emergency service. For fever, blood in urine or stool, sudden severe pain, or an inability to pass urine, contact your doctor, the on-call medical service on 116 117, or in an emergency 112.
